I've never had a Reuben sandwich before, so when Shawn and I went for dinner at The Pickle Barrel, I decided to try one. The sandwich consists of warm pastrami, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on grilled dark rye bread. I don't know how authentic The Pickle Barrel's version is, but I don't really care because the sandwich is awesome. Like, why have I not tried this before? I feel like need to try more of the sandwich items on their menu, because that's apparently what The Pickle Barrel is really known for. But I may just keep going back to the Reuben.
