Got this warning from the Ontario Emergency Alert system today. Previously, these were used exclusively for Amber Alerts, so I guess people still aren't taking this pandemic seriously enough. I, on the other hand, took this as a reminder to deep-clean the house: scrubbing down the bathtub and toilet with bleach, wiping down all the counters and the sink with Lysol, dusting all the shelving units, Swiffer-ing all the hardwood floors, vacuuming the carpet, doing the laundry, etc. So I'm exhausted now. Gonna spend the rest of the night doing some online shopping and watching Crash Landing on You. Hope everyone is staying safe. (Also, yes, my phone wallpaper is of Jimin in the middle of dancing during the Love Yourself Tour with his hand hovering over his crotch.)

So, I woke up with a bit of a sore throat, thought it was just from smoking too much, and went to work. The sore throat persisted, so I told my manager. She sent me home immediately and told me to stay home tomorrow as well. She called me a couple hours later to tell me that she opened a case with HR, asked me a bunch of questions like if I'd been in contact with anyone who was known to have COVID-19 or had been traveling (it was a 'no' on all counts), and that I shouldn't return to work until she tells me to, but to keep her updated if I get any new symptoms. I haven't gotten tested because I don't have a fever yet (I've been diligent about taking my temperature every couple hours, though), so all of that was to say: I'm in quarantine for at least the next week.

Just came back from my sleep study to test for sleep apnea. You'd think that I'd actually get some sleep during a sleep study but it was actually kinda torturous because I'm nocturnal. I lay in a bed with about a hundred wires attached to my body, and of the six hours of being bed-ridden, I think I actually slept for about three. And I woke up every half hour from being so damn uncomfortable. So I don't know how accurate the study will be, but I hope I never have to go through that again.
