Last week, Becca released a limited edition highlighter palette in collaboration with model, actress, cookbook author, and TV show host, Chrissy Teigen. The Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette is described as " a gorgeous face palette full of warm, lush, sultry shades of highlighter, blush, and bronzer — all hand-picked by Chrissy herself. Each shade in this limited-edition palette features Becca's iconic, one-of-a-kind formula that blends pigments with liquids to impart an unparalleled, creamy feel that applies like seamless silk and never cakes." It is packaged in a rectangular rose gold compact with a peach and yellow marbled lid featuring Becca's logo and Chrissy's signature in rose gold, with a mirror spanning the entire inside of the lid. Each Glow Face Palette contains a total of 15 grams of product (5.1 g per highlighter, and 2.4 g per blush/bronzer), and retails for $54 CAD. It is available online and in store at Sephora and online at Becca.

Rose Gold, Beach Nectar, Hibiscus Bloom, and Malibu Soleil

Rose Gold is a medium warm peachy bronze with rose and copper shimmer in a metallic pearlized finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is darker and more gold than Becca Opal, darker and more bronze than Becca Prosecco Pop, darker and more gold than MAC Soft and Gentle, more rose than MAC Global Glow, more bronzed than MAC Beaming Blush, more bronze than Jeffree Star King Tut, and darker than Anastasia Beverly Hills 143 (Nicole Guerriero).
Beach Nectar is a light-medium warm gilded peach with champagne shimmer in a metallic pearlized finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is lighter and more gold than Becca Rose Gold, darker and more peach than Becca Prosecco Pop, darker and more peach than MAC Soft and Gentle, more peach than MAC Beaming Blush, darker and more peach than Jeffree Star Peach Goddess, darker than Anastasia Beverly Hills Glo Getter (Nicole Guerriero).
Hibiscus Bloom is a medium-dark warm brightened coral pink with golden pearl in a satin finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is slightly more pink than Becca Snapdragon, darker and more coral than Becca Flowerchild, more pink than MAC Fleeting Romance, more coral than MAC Fleur Power, darker and more pink than Benefit GALifornia, darker than Hourglass Diffused Heat, and more coral than Too Faced How Deep is Your Love?.
Malibu Soleil is a medium-dark warm golden brown in a satin finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It is cooler and less shimmery than Becca Ipanema Sun, darker and less shimmery than MAC Refined Golden, more golden than MAC Matte Bronze, more golden and less shimmery than MAC Bronze, darker than Urban Decay Bronzed, slightly warmer than Benefit Hoola, and darker and less shimmery than NARS Laguna.

I was a little surprised at this collaboration at first because despite being a gorgeous model and having to wear makeup all the time, I don't think Chrissy Teigen has ever really been known for her involvement with makeup brands, nor has she ever really gone out of her way to show interest in making her mark in the makeup industry (I've followed her through her blog and on Twitter for a long time, and she's always been known for her love of food and travel, her relationship with John Legend, her work as a model and a co-host on Lip Sync Battle, and her totally uncensored and unapologetic sense of humour). But I suppose being a model for so long brings about a lot of knowledge on makeup — and with that, what looks good on different skintones and what she personally likes to see on herself — and who can perfect a summer glow more than a two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model? Chrissy Teigen has curated one stunning face palette, with the same gorgeous smooth, buttery textures and phenomenal pigmentation that Becca is known for. Whereas the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette was designed for fair to medium-dark skintones, the shades here are definitely geared more towards the medium to dark complexions. (Of course, those with fairer skintones can wear this palette, but the highlighters will definitely look more like blush toppers than true highlighters, and I would suggest using a light hand with the blush and bronzer to keep them from looking garish or muddy.) Either way, this palette gives the most beautiful sun-kissed glow that also makes skin look smoother and gently sculpted. Dare I say that this is the perfect summer face palette?

Becca Prismatic Amethyst Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed

Becca has launched a new and limited edition shade of their best-selling Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed called Prismatic Amethyst. Becca describes it as "a creamy luminizing powder that veils skin in a soft pearlized glow with a lustrous velvet finish. Enriched with duo-chrome pigments that reflect and refract light for multi-dimensional radiance. This iridescent lavender highlighter subtly shifts shades as it catches the light for a sophisticated glow. Prismatic Amethyst is infused with gold, violet, and rose pearls to create a prismatic effect." It is exclusive to Sephora; it was made available online for VIB Rouge and VIB members on February 14, and will be available for everyone else online on February 22, and in stores sometime in March. Prismatic Amethyst is housed in a special edition metallic lavender mirrored compact, with a holographic lavender box. Each compact has 7 grams of product, and retails for $46.

Prismatic Amethyst

Prismatic Amethyst is a pale cool pink with soft pink, gold, and violet iridescent shimmer-sheen in a pearlized velvet finish. It has a very soft, finely-milled, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more muted and more violet than Urban Decay Aura, more muted and more violet than Anastasia Beverly Hills Pink Heart, more violet than Kat Von D Pink Opal, warmer and less shimmery than MAC Soft Frost, more muted and less purple than Makeup Geek Celestial, and more muted than Makeup Geek Glitz.

There have been a lot of duochrome highlighters coming out recently, especially in these light, pastel shades (you know, unicorn colours), so it was only a matter of time before Becca released one as well. I will put it out there right now: I don't think Prismatic Amethyst is a must-have, partially because there are quite a lot of dupes out there now, but mostly because this shade is geared more towards fair, porcelain complexions. I'm not gonna say that those with other skin tones can't wear it (I have a medium, golden-olive complexion and I am totally gonna rock this, especially with cooler pink or plum blushes), but there are definitely other highlighting shades that are more widely flattering and/or universal. I also want to note that while Prismatic Amethyst does have a duochrome shift, it is quite subtle for the most part (you'd have to be tilting your head in direct sunlight to really notice a significant colour shift), and as a result, it is also less metallic than the other Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector shades like Moonstone, Opal, and Champagne Pop (but that also means that it won't emphasize skin texture as much, either). That having been said, Prismatic Amethyst has the same smooth, silky, buttery texture and rich colour pay-off that the Shimmering Skin Perfector formula is known for, and there is nothing similar to it in Becca's permanent range. So if this is your favourite highlighter formula (and it is for many) and you've been waiting for a cooler, pink-toned shade (or you're just a highlighter fiend like me), this is one to check out.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush in Snapdragon and Tigerlily

This past Spring, Becca released a new blush range called Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blushes. As a blush fiend, of course, I needed to get my hands on these and picked up the two shades Sephora had released early for VIB Rouge members: Snapdragon and Tigerlily. They are described as "multi-dimensional, versatile blushes to create a subtle, shimmering flush. Specially designed to flatter all skintones, this collection is inspired by the fan favourite Shimmering Skin Perfector — just the right balance of colour and light. Wear them alone for subtle blushed luminosity, or as a blush topper layered on top of your favourite matte blush for an added pop of radiance." Initially, I thought Becca was going to replace their original Mineral Blush formula, which is my all-time favourite, with this new series of blushes, and I was ready to weep in despair... but they decided to keep both formulas permanently (yay!). There are currently six permanent shades of Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush, and they are packaged in a chocolate brown rubberized mirrored compacts with airbrushed metal lids. Each blush contains a total of 6 grams of product, and retails for $41 CAD at Sephora.

Snapdragon and Tigerlily

Snapdragon is a medium-dark warm brightened coral pink with a gold shimmer-sheen in a luminous radiant finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is brighter and pinker than Becca Songbird, darker and brighter than Becca Flowerchild, brighter and more coral than MAC Peachykeen, more pink than MAC Fleeting Romance, darker and brighter than NARS Orgasm, brighter and more pink than NARS Torrid, and darker than Tarte Blissful.
Tigerlily is a medium warm brightened cantaloupe orange with a gold shimmer-sheen in a luminous radiant finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is lighter and more yellow than Becca Songbird, brighter and more orange than Becca Flowerchild, lighter and more yellow than MAC Modern Mandarin, darker and more orange than MAC Style, brighter and more orange than NARS Luster, lighter and more muted than NARS Taj Mahal, and darker and more reddened than Surratt Beauty Cantaloup.

As with all my makeup, I hoard and hoard and hoard and then spend months going through new products, so yes, it's taken me over half a year to finally post a review about these, but better late than never because this formula isstunning. With the success of Blushed Copper last year, Becca decided to expand their Shimmering Skin Perfector range into blushes. Becca's Mineral Blush has been my favourite blush formula for a couple years now, and while I don't necessarily like these more, they are definitely tied for #1. The Luminous Blush formula has incredible pigmentation that gives full colour pay-off, and leaves a gorgeous illuminating glow. Like Becca's bestselling Shimmering Skin Perfectors, the Luminous Blushes have a very soft, buttery formula, so they blend beautifully and effortlessly. Plus, it has a long wear-time to boot, at least eight hours without fading. I must also note that a little really goes a long way here; I've often found that a gentle tap of my brush into the powder is more than enough to give sufficient colour to the cheeks, so if you're especially fair, you'll want to use really light layers when applying these unless you want to veer into clown cheek territory.

Comparing these with the original Mineral Blushes, I'd say that these ones are a bit creamier in texture, slightly denser in consistency, and a little more pearlized in finish — no massive differences overall, but they are there. Now, I will say that these are definitely expensive for blushes (more than MAC, NARS, Tarte, and Too Faced), but the quality is absolutely worth it and they are in line with Becca's pricing as a whole. That having been said, I would only get the shades that I'd use most often to lower cost per use. My only wish now is for Becca to expand their colour range. The six permanent shades now are lovely and encompass all skintones (an issue I had with the original Mineral Blush line-up which has now been revamped to include darker shades), but I do wish Becca would come out with softer and more neutral shades: a rosy bronze, a gilded peach, a golden nude, a plummy brown. Other than that, if you love shimmery blushes, I cannot recommend these enough.

This month, Becca launched their second collaboration with makeup artist and YouTuber, Jaclyn Hill, called the Champagne Collection. It sees the launch of four products (there was also an eyeshadow palette, but Becca has pulled it from both stores and online retailers due to manufacturing issues), of which one is new and limited edition, two are new and will be added to the permanent range, and one is a re-promote from the permanent range. The Champagne Collection features one new and limited edition face palette. As the name implies, it is inspired by Champagne: "Sparking with golden luminosity, Champagne lights up everything it surrounds, encouraging us to celebrate each moment. The perfect inspiration, this palette captures its luxurious effervescence, and who better to partner with than Jaclyn Hill, creator of the original Champagne Pop!"

The face palette features "all new shades created by Jaclyn in best-selling Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed, Mineral Blush, and Luminous Blush [that] can create endless combinations for your perfect glow. Simply sweep the luxuriously creamy powders across the face, wear shades alone, or layered for unique looks." It is packaged in a rectangular champagne gold compact with a white lid featuring Becca and Jaclyn Hill's logos and a sunburst design in metallic gold and silver, with a mirror spanning the entire inside of the lid. The palette contains a total of 20.4 grams of product, and retails for $59 CAD or $52 USD. It is now available in-stores at Sephora.

Rosé Spritz, Amaretto, and Pamplemousse

Rosé Spritz is a medium warm grapefruit pink with sparkly gold shimmer-sheen in a luminous frosted finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more pink and more muted than Becca Snapdragon, more coral than Becca Camellia, darker and brighter than Becca Flowerchild, brighter than MAC Peachykeen, darker and brighter than MAC Springsheen, and brighter and more coral than NARS Orgasm.
Amaretto is a medium-dark warm rosy tan with a subtle sheen in a satin finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, finely-milled texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is lighter and cooler than Becca Songbird, cooler than Wild Honey, darker and more matte than MAC Warm Soul, lighter and cooler than MAC Eternal Sun, cooler than Urban Decay Video, and similar but less matte than Tarte Risque.
Pamplemousse is a medium-dark warm brightened guava pink with a subtle sheen in a satin finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop

Champagne Pop is a light warm peachy champagne with champagne gold micro-shimmer in a pearlized metallic finish. It has a very soft, almost creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is darker and more peach than Becca Moonstone, slightly lighter and warmer than Becca Opal, darker and more peach than Anastasia Bubbly, more peach than Anastasia Sunburst, lighter and more gold than MAC Soft and Gentle, and more peach than TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer.
Prosecco Pop is a light-medium warm gold champagne with gold micro-shimmer in a pearlized metallic finish. It has a very soft, almost creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is darker and more yellow than Becca Champagne Pop, more yellow than Becca Opal, brighter than Anastasia Dripping in Gold, darker and more peach than Anastasia Bubbly, lighter than Anastasia So Hollywood, and lighter than NARS Jubilation #1.

Whether or not you're a fan of Jaclyn Hill, this face palette is well worth the hype and has the quality that Becca is known for. Each powder is ultra-smooth and incredibly pigmented; almost creamy to the touch and blends out like a dream. Due to the intense colour pay-off, a little really does go a long way with all the powders here, and those who like more sheer, buildable shades will probably want to use a more feathery brush and/or a light hand. All the shades included in this palette are warm-leaning with two squarely in the bright coral-pink family, and three of the five powders have a high metallic finish, so if you were looking for cooler tones or more subtle highlighters, this is not the palette for you. That having been said, it should work well on almost all skintones, though those who are extremely fair (NC15/NW13 and lighter) might find the highlighters too dark and the blushes too bright, and those who are extremely dark (NC50/NW45 and darker) might find the highlighters too bright and the blushes too light.

Each pan is appropriately sized to fit a variety of face brushes into; it's a pet peeve of mine when a product that is specifically designed for face is too small to fit a brush into without having to manipulate it. I think the palette really hits the right balance with form and function — it is both sleek and pretty without a lot of extraneous detail, and the powders are laid out in a way that is clear and practical to use. It also has a nice weight to it that makes it feel more luxurious, with a beautiful, ultra-clear (e.g. no distortion) mirror spanning the entire lid. It has a sturdy clasp and the lid stands up on its own when the compact is open, so it is great for travel as well. Overall, I think Becca and Jaclyn Hill did an outstanding job on this collaboration; the palette is reflective of Jaclyn's personal style and aesthetic and upholds Becca's formula quality and company integrity while being widely flattering and a pleasure to use.

Last week, Becca launched a limited edition shade of their best-selling Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in a shade called Champagne Pop that was made in collaboration with YouTuber and make-up artist, Jaclyn Hill. Champagne Pop is described as Jaclyn's "dream shade of the very best highlighter on the market... This creamy luminizing powder veils the skin in a soft pearlized glow. Light-reflecting pearls beautifully catch the light, allowing your favourite features to pop! Sweep across face or apply to targeted areas including cheekbones, brow bones, and bridge of nose." It is exclusive to Sephora; it was made available online on July 2, and will be available in stores on July 16. Champagne Pop comes in a regular dark brown rubberized mirrored compact, but in a special edition rose gold box featuring Jaclyn Hill's signature. Each compact has 8 grams of product, and retails for $46.

Moonstone, Champagne Pop, and Opal

Champagne Pop is a light warm peachy champagne with champagne gold micro-shimmer in a pearlized finish. It has a very soft, almost creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is darker and more peach than Becca Moonstone, slightly lighter and warmer than Becca Opal, lighter and warmer than MAC Soft and Gentle, slightly darker and more peach than MAC Lightscapade, darker and more peach than TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer, warmer and less pink than TheBalm Cindy Lou-Manizer, and more peach than Bobbi Brown Beige Shimmer Brick.

Whether or not you're a fan of Jaclyn Hill, it's undeniable that she's created a gorgeous highlighter shade with Becca. It has everything you'd expect from Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formula: an incredibly soft and finely-milled texture that feels almost creamy, high pigmentation with intense colour pay-off, and a stunning pearlized finish. I've included swatches of Moonstone and Opal beside Champagne Pop so you see what the difference is between the three and to see if it's worth chasing down Champagne Pop. For those who find Moonstone to be too light or Opal to be too beige, Champagne Pop will be worth looking at. I recommend this for light to medium-dark skintones (those with very fair skintones may find this too dark to use as a highlighter, and darker skintones may find this too light or stark), and it will work best for those with neutral to warm complexions (those with cooler undertones may find this too golden). The issue for many will actually be acquiring the product — it sold out online in under an hour, and has become Sephora's fastest selling product to date (when a highly recognized beauty brand collaborates with one of the most famous make-up artists on YouTube on one of their best-selling products, the hype surrounding it is unreal). If you were interested in Champagne Pop or were too late in buying it online, it will be made available in-store at all Sephora locations on July 16 (yes, even the stores that don't carry Becca regularly). Again, it will go fast, so get to your local Sephora the moment it opens.

Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed

I realize I'm a little behind on this review as it was launched in March, but I figured since it's still available online, I'm not too late to post this. For Spring, Becca launched a limited edition shade of their best-selling Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in a shade called Blushed Copper, which is described as "a creamy powder… [that] fuses together the soft shimmer of a luminizer with the subtle pigment of a blush. It is formulated with ultra-fine luminescent pearls that absorb, reflect, and refract light so your natural radiance is not lost. Unlike the traditional pressed powder method, which simply mixes and compresses dry ingredients, this unique process blends pigments with proprietary liquid binders — resulting in an optimum, creamy application with balanced colour dispersion. This compact of multi-toned, ultra-fine pigment pearls adjust to the skin's natural undertones for a truly unique glow." Each Blushed Copper comes in a special edition rose copper mirrored compact, 8 grams of product, and retails for $46.

Blushed Copper

Blushed Copper is a medium-dark soft copper brown with rose gold micro-shimmer in a pearlized finish. It has a very soft, almost creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more muted and more brown than Becca Songbird, darker and more brown than Becca Damselfly, more muted and less reddened than MAC Ambering Rose, more brown than MAC Peachtwist, lighter and more copper than MAC Sweet as Cocoa, darker than MAC Cheeky Bronze, darker than NARS Luster, and more golden than NARS Lovejoy.

Becca remains one of my Top 3 brands for cheek products, and I am so pleased to be adding Blushed Copper to my collection. Like the other Perfectors, this is so incredibly soft and finely-milled that it really feels almost creamy, and despite being described as having "the subtle pigment of a blush," it actually has intense pigmentation and incredible colour pay-off. Unlike the other Perfectors, though, this one is squarely in the blush category versus highlighter, which makes it more unique in terms of colour. Those with fairer complexions will want to use a light hand with this product because a little goes a long way (I recommend a light, feathery brush like MAC's #137), but on everyone with medium to deep dark skintones, this will work beautifully as a warm, luminous blush that is just perfect for summer. I really hope Becca will launch more blush shades in their Shimmering Skin Perfector series; it adds more shimmer and pearl than their normal Mineral Blushes, but it doesn't emphasize pores and diffuses really easily for a more subtle illumination. For those who have not had the pleasure of trying Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfectors... what the hell are you waiting for?

Becca Mineral Blush in Flowerchild, Damselfly, Songbird, and Wild Honey

A couple months ago, on a Sephora shopping high, I decided to pick up four shades of Becca Mineral Blush, of which I had read nothing but stellar, glowing reviews. It is described as "a delicate powder blush infused with micro-fine minerals that deliver a soft glow." They are meant to "impart a soft halo of colour… that subtly reflects the light and casts a luminous glow" and are "formulated with a natural mineral complex and infused with antioxidant vitamins A, E, and C... to nourish and condition skin for a smooth, illuminated complexion." They are packaged in a chocolate brown rubberized mirrored compacts with airbrushed metal lids. Each blush contains a total of 6 grams of product, and retails for $38 CAD at Sephora.

Flowerchild, Damselfly, Songbird, and Wild Honey

Flowerchild is a medium warm peachy pink with a gold shimmer-sheen. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is darker and more peach than MAC Dainty, more pink than MAC Springsheen, less golden than NARS Orgasm, more pink than Tarte Glisten, more shimmery than Hourglass Luminous Flush, and more pink than Clinique Peach Pop.
Damselfly is a medium warm muted coral-peach with a gold shimmer-sheen. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is darker than MAC New Romance, similar to MAC Style, more peach than NARS Deep Throat, more shimmery than Tarte Captivating, darker and more peach than Hourglass Dim Infusion, and more orange than Clinique Peach Pop.
Songbird is a medium-dark warm peachy copper-bronze with a gold shimmer-sheen. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily.  It is darker and more orange than MAC Sunbasque, similar to MAC Peachtwist, more peach than MAC Make You Mine, darker and more copper than NARS Torrid, more bronze than Tarte Charisma, and more bronze than Clinique Ginger Pop.
Wild Honey is a medium warm golden peach nude with a subtle gold shimmer-sheen. This is a permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more golden and less shimmery than MAC Warm Soul, darker and more peach than MAC Trace Gold, less peach and less shimmery than NARS Luster, peachier than Tarte Buff, and darker and more golden than Hourglass Dim Infusion.

This might be a little controversial, but this has taken the number one spot for my overall favourite blush formula. It has amazing pigmentation that gives full colour pay-off, and leaves a gorgeous illuminating glow that never looks too shiny or sparkly — just smooth, healthy, and luminous. This is a very soft, silky-smooth formula that is almost creamy, so it blends beautifully and effortlessly. Plus, it has a long wear-time to boot (at least six hours without fading). Honestly, I love everything about these. Except for the shade range, which I feel should include more shades to encompass all skintones from fair to deep dark. The shades they have right now are great for light to medium dark skintones, with Songbird being the darkest shade they make. I want more, more, more!
