Nails Inc. London Special Effects Polish in Connaught Square

After the blingy awesomeness of Nails Inc. London's Bloomsbury Square, I decided to try the other one I picked up, Connaught Square. It's a clear base with royal blue shimmer, and electric blue and violet glitter. Read my other review to see what I think of the formula and appearance of the polish, because they're the same. While Bloomsbury Square looks better in pictures (you can see more of the multi-faceted "3D Glitter" effect), I think that Connaught Square looks way better in person (the purple glitter stands out way more in real life, whereas it almost disappears in the picture). I might be biased since I tend to lean more towards cooler colours when it comes to nail polish, though. Either way, they're both absolutely worth getting. I am seriously digging the effect of these, so I really hope Nails Inc. will release more shades soon.

Nails Inc. London Special Effects Polish in Bloomsbury Square

I finally decided to try one of the Nails Inc. London Special Effects polishes I picked up in Buffalo a couple weeks ago, since I had all the time in the world this past week (in case you haven't been here in a while, I have been sick and miserable, and the only thing that has been awesome is playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Shawn's Wii). Bloomsbury Square is a clear base with violet shimmer, and red and fuchsia glitter. There is so much glitter, in fact, that only two medium-thick coats are needed to make this opaque. The effect is dazzling (literally); the mix of both the smaller shimmer pieces along with the bigger glitter pieces makes it look really multi-faceted, so you can really see the "3D glitter" effect. There are no dupes for this shade that I can think of, really. At $11.50 a pop, they are entirely worth it; a must-have for glitter fiends! I will need to pick up the other two shades I didn't get last time.

Nails Inc. London Magnetic Polish in Houses of Parliament

So, I finally succumbed to the magnetic polish trend and bought myself Nails Inc. London's two shades. Houses of Parliament is a deep, rich, eggplant purple in a metallic finish. The polish has a phenomenal formula: smooth, even, application and completely opaque in one coat. You could easily wear it on its own without the magnetic effect. But once you hold a magnet on top of the wet polish for ten seconds, a cool ripple effect takes place, and you're left with these black "waves" across the nail bed that look almost holographic and 3D as your hands move. It's a little cumbersome to use, though; I had to re-do four nails because the magnet ended up touching the wet polish and the effect was ruined. But the effect is definitely cool; even Shawn whole-heartedly approved ("Whoa, that's pretty awesome"). It's definitely worth getting, and I like it way more than the those shatter/crackle polishes, but it'll take some practice to get it perfect.
