J-Hope — "Killin' It Girl" Music Show Promotions Sketch

on
Tuesday, July 15, 2025

You know, the effort behind creating all these sets at Korean music shows never fails to amaze me. I still wonder why these types of music shows do so well in Asia, but there's nothing like this in North America. I guess the closest we have are those talent competition shows like The Voice, but there's nothing for already-established artists to perform live stages every week and have fans vote on which group wins best new release. I wonder if it's because North America is too physically big? I mean, to be fair, you could fit like, 12 Koreas inside Ontario alone, so logistics would be a nightmare…

Anyway, big congrats to J-Hope for all his music show wins. Truly well-deserved!

Jin — "Don't Say You Love Me" at Seongsu & "Hi Seokjin" Hi-Touch Event Behind

on
Tuesday, June 24, 2025

Man, getting a spot at one of these events is truly like winning the lottery, and that's only if you live in Korea. Us international fans don't even get a chance. On that note, at least I'm going to see Jin next month. 37 DAYS TO GO!

J-Hope on SBS Inkigayo: "Killin' It Girl (Solo Version)"

on
Sunday, June 22, 2025

WHOA THERE, MISSY, THAT IS A LOT OF BARE SKIN TOUCHING. (You know, I can't help but think that if this was any of BTS' maknae line — Jimin, V, and Jungkook — a huge amount of ARMYs would be revolting at this amount of sexy touching by a female, even if it is a part of the choreography. Like, to the point where I'd be worried that the dancer would get serious death threats. An unfortunate double-standard in BTS, but it's true.)

J-Hope at MBC Show! MusicCore: "Killin' It Girl (Solo Version)"

on
Saturday, June 21, 2025

I love that J-Hope is still using the original dance crew from the MV for all his Korean music show appearances. I recognize some of the dancers from his tour and the "Mona Lisa" MV, too. Imagine being so integral to these performances that J-Hope won't use any other crew, even if it means paying for them to travel the world with him. Man, they're living the ultimate back-up dancer's dream.

J-Hope at KBS Music Bank: "Killin' It Girl (Solo Version)"

on
Friday, June 20, 2025

Another amazing live performance, and I'm just gonna go ahead and say it — I think it's significantly better than the recorded version. The live stages have rendered the AutoTune on the recorded version completely unnecessary. I know they added the AutoTune for stylistic reasons, but I just prefer Hobi's real, live vocals so much more.

J-Hope at Mnet M Countdown: "Killin' It Girl (Solo Version)"

on
Thursday, June 19, 2025

Okay, first of all, this is, without a doubt, the biggest stage I've ever seen on a Korean music show. I think bigger than anything I've seen even for BTS. Secondly, J-Hope has gotten awfully comfortable with being naked on stage. Thirdly, we are just being VISUALLY ATTACKED left, right, and centre. Yeah, J-Hope, "I'm not sure if I pulled off the bad boy role," MY ASS.

Jin — "With the Clouds" and "To Me, Today" at Seongsu Live Clip

on
Saturday, May 31, 2025

Okay, between J-Hope's thirst trap photos and Jin's dreamy live vocals, I AM GETTING BTS CONTENT WHIPLASH. Anyway, as someone who just listened to Echo while taking a shower, I gotta say, Jin's live vocals really sound exactly like they do on the record — the chest voice, the falsetto, the vibrato, everything. I just can't believe this guy ever thought his vocals weren't good enough.

MY GOD THIS IS SO GOOD I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM LIVE.

BTS EPISODE: J-Hope at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes 2025

on
Saturday, February 22, 2025

J-Hope's performance at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes was, in my opinion, flawless. I can't wait to see him on tour next month in NYC. He is gonna fucking kill it. 18 MORE DAYS!!!

J-Hope at Gala des Pièces Jaunes 2025: "On the Street," "More," and "MIC Drop"

on
Tuesday, January 28, 2025

His swagger, his fit, his charisma, his energy, and his total command of the stage while thousands of ARMYs rapping along to every single word — in Korean and English while in France, mind you — made J-Hope's stage pretty much as perfect as you can get, especially considering he was a guest performer at this concert. (The orchestra was fucking bad ass, too.) I am so goddamn excited to see him on tour in March.

Leemujin Service: Episode 141 feat. BTS Jin

on
Wednesday, November 20, 2024

One thing I love about Leemujin Service is that you hear the guest's vocals in the most clear, pure way. I also love his interpretations of the guest's songs because his voice is so unique. Jin's vocals are flawless here, of course, but I never thought Lee Mujin would get stumped by "Super Tuna."

The K-Star Next Door: Season 4, Episode 31 feat. BTS Jin

on
Thursday, October 31, 2024

Okay, apparently the MC and Jin are friends (or at least acquaintances who have each other's phone numbers), but this interview seemed kind of... uncomfortable? Like, it was oddly cringy to watch? There were a few funny moments and Jin's live performance of "I'll Be There" was awesome, but I found their interactions kind of awkward in general.

BTS EPISODE: Jin — Seokjin on June 13, 2024, Weather Clear ☀️

on
Thursday, July 18, 2024

I quite literally started tearing up the moment I saw Jin entering the stage on that bicycle during the livestream. I can't describe the kind of odd relief that I felt upon seeing him after 18 months out of the spotlight. I know he kept mentioning how nervous he was, but I really can't imagine how overwhelmed Jin must've been on this day — being discharged from the military the day before and then having to record a second verse to "Super Tuna" and learn new choreographies before going straight to rehearsals for FESTA, all before meeting and singing in front of millions of ARMY — with no other members there to take off the pressure. He did so, so well, like he never left. It's finally the Jin era and I can't wait to see him shine.

I'm going to be saying this a lot during this Festa, but I can't believe this was four years ago already.

GOD, I MISS THEM SO MUCH. 😭😭😭

Jungkook — Music Show Promotions Sketch

on
Thursday, February 15, 2024

Ah, Jungkookie, I hope you are getting enough rest and looking after yourself while you are in the military. Surely you get more down time there than you do when you're promoting, and I hope you get to take advantage of that. But that doesn't mean we don't miss you every single damn day.

Jungkook — "Standing Next to You" Promotions Sketch

on
Saturday, January 13, 2024

Jungkook's promotions for GOLDEN were, to put it lightly, insane. In the best way possible. It's almost comical to me that he just chilled out at home for a year, and then BAM, non-stop singing, recording, dancing, practicing, and performing for months. (It also shows how scarily efficient and professional the HYBE and BigHit staff are, though, to be able to pull off all of these promos and performances domestically and internationally within a few months.) He really deserves all the opportunities, recognition, and accolades from this solo period. I've said this before, but I do truly think that out of all the BTS members, and maybe anyone out of K-pop as a whole, JK makes the transition into global pop star the most seamlessly. This kid really is golden. And after the "Seven" and "3D" promotions, this was the perfect last hurrah before enlistment.

Jungkook at iHeartRadio Live: "Hate You"

I don't think there's any voice that is more healing than Jeon Jungkook's. God, I'm going to miss him.

Jungkook on Mnet M Countdown: "Standing Next to You"

on
Sunday, November 19, 2023

Not sure how much more this stage can be perfected at this point. Jungkook's live vocals, dancing, and facial expressions are at their peak levels. (ARMY did exceptionally well here, too. Fan chants on point!)

Jungkook on Audacy Live: "Standing Next to You," "Seven (feat. Latto)," "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)," and "Closer to You"

on
Monday, November 13, 2023

As I keep watching content from Jungkook's GOLDEN promotions, I can't help thinking how much more mature and confident he's gotten. And as a result, he's the sexiest he's ever been. The attitude, the fits, the haircut, the facial expressions. If he wasn't already my ultimate bias, he absolutely would be now.

(Also, huge kudos to the video editor. This was insane.)
