I went to TeamLabs Planets TOKYO in April and it really was an incredible, one-of-a-kind experience. But IMAGINE IF I CASUALLY BUMPED INTO A BTS MEMBER THERE.

Sigh, I miss Tokyo. Good thing I'm going back next year!

SUGA VLOG: D-DAY Tour in Phuket

• Okay, so Yoongi has successfully made me hungry in every single one of his travel vlogs. 
• I've decided that he is the absolute cutest when he is eating watermelon. I'm sure he's cute eating any fruit, but watermelon is the winner.
• We could've been soulmates until I found out he likes cilantro. 
• But that means he could be my best foodie buddy because then he could eat all the cilantro from our dishes and I won't have to suffer! 

SUGA VLOG: D-DAY Tour in Jakarta

Oof, his reaction to the food here is vastly different to the overhyped burger in Chicago... And come to think of it, I don't think I've actually ever eaten Indonesian food. So it's now my new goal.

Also, I watched his livestream in Seoul on Sunday and it was entirely worth staying up until 6:00AM for, and it was made especially joyful with seeing the maknae line cheering him on there as well! They announced 3 more shows in August, too. Man, I really went to Seoul at the wrong time...

So, judging by his serious lack of enthusiasm, I'm guessing that Gordon Ramsey burger isn't worth the hype...

On another note, I am comforting myself with the fact that, despite not being able to go to any of the D-DAY Tour dates in the US, at least I got the pass to watch the Seoul concert livestream this Sunday. (It starts at 4:00AM EDT but BTS IS ALWAYS WORTH SACRIFICING SLEEP FOR.)

1. How fucking cute is it that his first thought was to make 6 more cutting boards for the other members?
2. How fucking cute is it that he decided to make whale-shaped cutting boards because the whale has become representative of ARMY?
3. Seeing fingers that close to blades, saws, or cutters gives me anxiety.
4. I will never take a wooden cutting board for granted again.

Okay, a few things:

1. DEEP-FRIED SHRIMP SANDWICHES!!! I NEED THESE IN MY LIFE ASAP.
2. I just found out menbosha is a Korean version of the shrimp toast that originated from Hong Kong. As a person whose parents are from Hong Kong, how the hell have I never seen nor heard of this before? 
3. Where can I find a restaurant that serves menbosha? I'm not about buy a litre of oil just to attempt to make these...
4. I wonder if you can make an air-fried version of them?
5. How many ARMYs will burn their fingers off by attempting to touch boiling oil after watching this video?

Jungkook, looking at himself in the camera viewer: "My face is swollen! Of course it is, I ate so much yesterday..."

Jungkook, asking the crew: "What are we eating?"

Jungkook, suddenly: "Is he here?! Let's go!"

So really, Jungkook and I are basically the same person. 

Anyway, I'm hungry now so it's time for lunch.

BTS VLOG: RM — 미술관 Vlog

This is so lovely and charming. Travel vlogs might be my favourite type of vlog, because I can see the sights and explore with the vlogger (in this case, RM), but it's also bittersweet because I'm not actually there. So now I have a serious case of wanderlust. I think I need to plan a trip soon. It's been nearly 18 years since I've left the continent.

BTS VLOG: Jimin — 팔찌공방 Vlog

HE IS THE CUTEST CUTE CUTE THAT EVER DID CUTE.

On that note, I wish we had the incredible variety of craft workshops that Seoul has. I watch a few Korean vloggers and they take one-day workshops all the time, from tapestry to decorating cakes to flower arranging to basket weaving to making jewelry, like Jimin does here. It's almost like summer camp for adults that you can attend anytime but you're not obligated to more than one class. I'd love to learn new skills to make beautiful things.

BTS VLOG: J-Hope — 확신의 J Vlog

I've been listening to Jack in the Box on repeat and I honestly think it's one of those albums that don't have a single skippable track (besides "Intro" and "Music Box: Reflection," which are recordings used to transition between sections of the album). As expected, it's much darker than Hope World, but there's also a wider range of sounds and genres in Jack in the Box. Aside from "MORE" and "Arson," both of which I immediately loved, I've been especially loving "Pandora's Box," which features a sinister piano sample and a grungier, grittier, 90s rap style; and "= (Equal Sign)," which has a groovy R&B beat and really showcases Hobi's vocal skills (!!!). Super, super impressed. 

(Also, 5:20 is a major flashback to prosthetics class in makeup school. 3rd degree burns were one of the first things I learned how to do. It's super time-consuming and tedious in real life, but the results usually look pretty fucking spectacular.)

Tae: "Oooof! That was painful. I'm not afraid of anything anymore... DENTISTS ARE REALLY SCARY!"

This vlog has reminded me why I have postponed making a dentist appointment for 18 years...

(And also, he's not wrong, this vlog will make you hungry and I had to grab a lot of snacks while watching it.)

Pleasantly surprised to get a livestream from Jimin so close to comeback day! I'm still waiting for full translations, but from what I could gather, he's letting us know that all their songs are nearly ready, their upcoming MV for "Life Goes On" was one of the roughest but most fun shoots they've had, they are currently practicing their choreography, they are preparing for various promotions including end-of-year events, and Yoongi is recovering well and he messages them updates everyday and they miss each other very much. Oh, and his fluffy hair is fucking adorable. That is all. 💜💜💜

BTS Live Logs: 201021 Jungkook

Kookie started a livestream just to let us know that because he was designated to be the MV Project Manager, he was part of the shooting and directing team for their upcoming MV (presumably for the title track of BE - coming out in just under a month!). As a result, he has a directing credit for their upcoming music video but wanted to make it clear that he really didn't have that big a part in it and only contributed a little. (Kookie is known to be very humble and often likes to downplay his significance or efforts, but we know better.) But then he wonders aloud whether we'll be able to pick out which of the cuts in the MV are his, and if we know his artistic style and sensibility. (The answer is YES, because we watch and re-watch GCFs like it's our religion.) I'm incredibly excited for their next comeback, perhaps even more so than with other comebacks (and that is really saying a lot). With the immense involvement from the members on every aspect of production and creation, this album will be like no other release before.
