I went to Dairy Queen with Ben and tried my first-ever Blizzard. Because I'm such a newb, I just decided to get the flavour of the month: Nutty Banana. It's pecans, bananas, and chocolate chunks blended into their soft serve ice cream. I'm not sure about their other Blizzard flavours, but this one was phenomenal. I like that they use real bananas instead of the artificial flavouring, and the (whole!) salted pecans add a completely new dimension of flavour. I would've ordered a larger size, alas my stomach could only handle a mini (I also ate two cheeseburgers and a carton of onion rings while we were there - they have a value menu where you can get 4 items for $6!). How have I never tried Dairy Queen desserts before this? I think I see chocolate-dipped cones and waffle bowl sundaes in my (near) future.
