Ajisen Ramen

Had a bowl of ridiculously delicious BBQ pork ramen at Ajisen. The pork was soft and tender, the broth was rich and flavourful, and the noodles were cooked just right. It might be controversial, but... I think I actually like ramen more than pho.

    I've been leaning over to pho lately, mainly because it's way cheaper and there are places for excellent pho close by but not many places for ramen.

    I have to take you to the amazing pho places I've been discovering!

    ZOMG have you tried their Unagi ramen??? The unagi is served on the side so you still get plenty of meat slices in the ramen. DAMN. So GOOD!

    I LOVE Ajisen! We have one here but it's not as good as the ones I eat in Hong Kong... I don't know why!! But the pork with the egg is my favorite! I love both ramen and pho.. depends on my mood! Yummmm!!

    Kat, have you tried Pho on 7? And while, yes, pho is ever so slightly cheaper, there's just something about the ramen that I like more... like, the noodles, the broth... and you know, it usually comes with an egg, which is just so good...

    Hi, Irene! Yeah, the first time I had Ajisen was in Hong Kong, and it was just phenomenal! I'm so glad they brought the chain overseas to Canada. :D

    LOL when they opened the Ajisen location downtown, I'm not even kidding, I cried.

    Have you been to Kenzo? I actually like their ramen better but the servers kind of suck.

    There's one uptown too (Yonge/Finch-ish?) so you don't have to come all the way downtown.
