Strawberry Daifuku Pablo Mini

Pablo, the famed Japanese cheese tart chain, finally opened at Fairview after months of anticipation. I went to check it out today after its grand opening last week. The hype of this chain was similar to that of Uncle Tetsu when it first opened (people were literally lining up for hours), so I waited until this week to go in. I decided to get a box of six of the mini cheese tarts (the "Pablo Mini"— $3.99 each, or buy 5 get one free), and after careful consideration, I decided on matcha, original, tiramisu, mango, Okinawa beni (purple sweet potato), and strawberry daifuku. You just can't go wrong with cream cheese custard in a pie crust, really. I'm so glad they opened an uptown location so that those of us who don't live in the downtown core have access to delicious Japanese cheese tarts, too.
