Tuta, Maegan, and I went to Nomé Izakaya for dinner this evening to take advantage of their $1 Oyster Wednesdays, as well as their open patio since the weather turned out so beautiful today. (It was supposed to thunderstorm. But instead, it rained for about ten minutes in the morning and then the rest of the day was sunny. Apparently, summers in Canada are unpredictable.) We got a dozen Malpeques and a dozen Lucky 88s to start, plus our go-to classics (Octo-Wasabi, Shrimp Udon Salad, Japa-Burgers), some new picks that we've never tried before (Tuna Truffle Brioche, Grilled Marinated Squid, Gyoza with Cream Sauce), and the requisite Honey Bread — our all-time favourite dessert. One cheat day turned into two, but I HAVE ZERO REGRETS.
