(Warning: This post is long and extremely photo-heavy.)

My BTS 2021 Season's Greetings box set arrived just in time, right before the new year! This year's theme is "retro," and it is JAM PACKED with goodies.

The set comes in a cute flip-top box with a photo of the boys in their hilarious retro fits right on the lid. The first thing you see when you open it is a smaller plastic box that looks like a record player. Inside this box, there are 12 circular cards that look like vinyl records on one side and have photos of the boys on the other side. They are ADORABLE. And totally in line with the retro theme. Of course, there's the desk calendar which is designed quite ingeniously this year. The months are separated from the photos so you can flip the photos and change it up any time of year. 'Cause, you know, variety is the spice of life, and if I want retro Jimin for half of May and retro Jungkook for the other half, I CAN DO THAT.

Next up is the requisite photobook, the one thing without which a BTS box set would never be complete. This photobook, of course, features all the photoshoots they took for Season's Greetings this year. "Retro" seems to encompass the '70s to the '90s here, from '70s printed button-ups, bell bottoms, and huge plastic glasses; to '80s bucket hats and shoulder pads; to '90s hip-hop style and tracksuits. (The big squared plastic glasses are so painfully accurate; my mom used to wear the exact same style in the '70s.) Obviously, my two favourites are Jimin's '80s-style-ahjumma-meets-'90s-Gucci-model and Jungkook's early-'90s sleek power suit complete with leopard-print blouse.

Of course, we got our Making DVD (which looks like a vinyl record this year), which shows behind-the-scenes of all the photoshoots and plus cute games and Q+A's with the boys. Then we have the planner, which has a hardcover this year, and comes with monthly and weekly sections plus more photos scattered throughout. The planner is personally one of my favourite things in Season's Greetings because it's my most used item (and without it, I would never remember my doctor's appointments). It also comes with decorative sticker sheets for each member to use in the planner (or anywhere you can stick things, I guess). The set also comes with a bunch of other adorable, random things like double-sided mini photos for each member, a randomly selected member photo (I got Tae this year!), selfie Polaroids for each member, a photocard holder/mini album, and a roll of washi tape. As I said, JAM PACKED.

I also got the wall calendar, which is an add-on item for Season's Greetings for $20 USD. I guess they separate the calendar from the set because it can get too pricey, but like... why wouldn't you get a big flip calendar featuring glorious photos of our boys? It's like getting a different BTS poster for each month. And you can see the month at a glance. So it's pretty and useful. And with that, I am all set for 2021. Well, as set as I can be, because 2021 might be an even bigger shitshow than 2020, but at least BTS will be here to support me.
