Craving Korean food, my co-worker Carmen asked if I wanted to check out Eunhasu for dinner this evening. I am never one to turn down Korean food (or food in general) so I didn't hesitate to say yes.

Seafood pajeon

Since we wanted to try a bigger variety of food, we decided to share three dishes: the bossam, the tteokbokki, and the seafood pajeon. Each dish was really good — the pork belly was tender and the lettuce was crisp and fresh, the tteokbokki had a good amount of spice and the rice cakes were just chewy enough, and the pajeon had a decent amount of seafood and a nice crispy exterior — but my god, this place is overpriced. The tteokbokki was $17 and the pajeon was a whopping $26 — for those prices, I'd go to across the street to Jin Myungdong instead, which I think makes better versions for cheaper. (And though more expensive, their bossam is more flavourful with a much bigger portion and is served on an actual steamer.) Still, I would come back to try some other offerings, namely the Chinese-Korean dishes like jjajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, and jjamppong, which are less commonly found around here.

Nonetheless, a great way to start the weekend!
