To Bangtan's cutie sexy lovely, ARMY's baby mochi, and my second ultimate bias — happy 29th birthday! Thank you for your unparalleled stage presence and charisma; for being the most captivating, elegant, emotive, and fluid dancer in the industry; for your intense work ethic and passion for performance; for your incredible care and love for your members and your fans; for your eternal kindness and humility; for your striking beauty that affects men and women alike; and for having the most angelic voice I've ever heard. MUSE is Jimin's second studio album as a solo artist. It was released globally on July 19, 2024, at all music retailers both online and in-store. MUSE is a predominantly pop album with a total playing time of 19:52. It is comprised of seven songs, including the digital single released last December, "Closer Than This," the pre-release single, "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band," and the title track, "Who." The album was recorded throughout 2022 to 2023 before Jimin enlisted for this mandatory military service last December.

MUSE has a total of 3 versions across 2 formats: 2 CD, and one digital for Weverse Albums. This post features the CD set for MUSE, which includes the CD versions only. You can find this CD set, the digital Weverse Albums version, as well as a set with all versions on Weverse Shop. The CD versions are also available individually and can be found at all major online and in-store retailers, but please note that Weverse Shop sells the individual CD versions as randomized so you cannot pick the version (most other music retailers, including Amazon, offers the versions individually if you do want one version over the other). The CD versions set retails for $32.47 USD or ₩39,600 on Weverse Shop Global, but please note that no money is saved by buying the set as opposed to each version separately.

I'm a little late in posting this so it's been about a month since the album was released, and I've pretty much played it into the ground. Though MUSE was recorded shortly after FACE, the two albums sound distinctly different. While FACE is far angrier, more raw, and more emotional, MUSE is much lighter and happier. It starts off slow and dreamy with "Rebirth (Intro)", gets energetic and cheerful with "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band," and turns sultrier with the R&B-driven "Slow Dance" and Latin pop-based "Be Mine." We then get title track, "Who," which is an ultra-catchy, rhythm guitar-heavy, 2000s pop-influenced bop that is a pure earworm, and it finally ends with the contemporary R&B love letter to ARMY, "Closer Than This." In a nutshell, MUSE is fun, sophisticated, polished, and a complete joy to listen to.
Finished the first two episodes, and this is basically my favourite show, ever. It combines all of my favourite things — food and travel — and my favourite people — Jimin and Jungkook. My entire time watching this was split between drooling over their food and exclaiming to my screen, "WHY ARE THEY SO CUTE?" God, I can't wait until next week's episodes.
Oooof, this is fucking gorgeous. I actually had no idea no Sofia Carson is until hearing her feature on "Slow Dance," but her live vocals are stunning, maybe even more than on the recording.
THE SET LOOKS AMAZING, YOU LOOK AMAZING, THE DANCING LOOKS AMAZING, AND THE VIDEO REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE A (VERY SEXY/SASSY) MUSICAL. YOU WORKED HARD, SWEETIE! (I'm not really sure they had to go all the way to Hungary to film it or if it actually looked prettier there, but the results are excellent nonetheless.)
My god, he wasn't kidding when he said he was working on a new way of singing. He's always sounded beautiful, but his tone and control have noticeably improved — he's always been able to hit those notes, but he sounds more effortless, especially while dancing. The performance here is just impeccable.
Also, he is SUPER FUCKING SASSY and it's HOT AS FUCK.
"One of the reasons Jimin is so likeable is because he has the strength to maintain himself, but he also has weak and vulnerable sides to him. I think that makes him very human. He's someone who tries to bring things out in his own way, like this album. That's why I think Jimin is such a beautiful human being."
OOOOOOF. THE VOCALS. THE GUITAR. THE CHOREOGRAPHY. THE KEY CHANGE. HIS VISUALS! 💀🥵
(Okay, but seriously, his foot work is so smooth it looks like he's actually gliding on ice. Except HE'S ON PAVEMENT. Peep the foot slides at 1:35 and at 1:48. IMPECCABLE.)
We never met but she's all I see at night
Never met but she's always on my mind
Wanna give her the world
And so much more
Who is my heart waiting for?
If every day I think about her
Yeah, every day of my life
Then tell me why I haven't found her
Why, why, why, why, why
So many people to see
Places to go
We still haven't found hello
We never met but she's all I see at night
We never met but she's always on my mind
Wanna give her the world
And so much more
Who is my heart waiting for?
I'll take her places they ain't found yet
I'll put it all on the line
I'll be that someone she can count on
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
So many people to see
Places to go
We still haven't found hello
We never met but she's all I see at night
Never met but she's always on my mind
Wanna give her the world
And so much more
Who is my heart waiting for?
Is she someone that I see every day?
Is she somewhere a thousand miles away?
Wanna give her the world
And so much more
Who is my heart waiting for?
Who is my heart
Heart waiting for
Who is my heart
Heart waiting for
Who is my heart
Heart waiting for
Who is my
Who is my heart waiting for?
We never met but she's all I see at night
Never met but she's always on my mind
Wanna give her the world
And so much more
Who is my heart waiting for?
Is she someone that I see every day?
Is she somewhere a thousand miles away?
Wanna give her the world
And so much more
Who is my heart waiting for?
As I knew it would be, THIS IS A FUCKING BOP. One that I will replay over and over and over again until all 7 members are back together because that's WHO MY HEART IS WAITING FOR. 😭
