Unboxing: Tokyo DisneySea and Super Nintendo World Japan Haul

on
Monday, April 17, 2023
Did you think I would go to Tokyo DisneySea and Super Nintendo World and not spend an exorbitant amount of money on things I absolutely don't need but are way too cute to resist?

I promise I'll share all the snacks. But I will keep all the tins to myself. Because isn't that the point?

Tokyo 2023 Travel Log: Day 2 — Eating at Tokyo DisneySea

on
Friday, April 7, 2023
One of the big highlights of going to Tokyo DisneySea (or any theme park, for that matter) is the food. So much so that I decided to make an entirely separate post for it. Here's what we managed to scarf down during our six hours at DisneySea:

Notable items for me are the Mike melon bun, the Donald Duck shrimp bun, and the pastrami and shrimp sandwich. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the Toy Story alien mochi, but I guess we would've been too full to eat them, anyway...

Tokyo 2023 Travel Log: Day 2 — Exploring Tokyo DisneySea

on
(Warning: This post is long and photo-heavy.)

Our second day in Tokyo was spent at DisneySea. A little ambitious given that it was our first full day in Tokyo and knew we would be exhausted from flying the day before (we only ended up getting 4 hours of sleep), but we did it. We got there at 9:00AM and it was already packed. (It literally took us an hour just to get into the park.) I can't even imagine how crazy it is on the weekend (and I don't want to find out). We decided not to go on any rides because we no longer have the patience to wait 3 hours for a 30-second thrill, so we just walked around. A lot.

Yes, we walked over 20,000 steps at DisneySea. Honestly, it was worth the sore feet afterwards. Every single part of this park is stunning, and the attention to detail is incredible. It's a theme park like no other, even within the Disney franchise, and totally unique to Japan. I'm actually glad we chose it over Disneyland. If you don't care about Disney princesses, I would totally recommend DisneySea over its more famous sister.
