A couple weeks ago, Too Faced released their much-anticipated Peaches and Cream collection, which was created exclusively for Sephora. Peaches and Cream sees the release of 11 different formulas for face, eyes, and lips, including one new and permanent lipstick formula called Peach Kiss. It is infused with "refreshing peaches and sweet fig cream — ingredients known for their hydrating and antioxidant-rich benefits — to help keep skin moisturized, comfortable, and beautifully matte." Peach Kiss is described as "a non-drying, comfortable, and creamy matte lipstick" that "delivers intense matte colour and up to eight hours of wear." There is a total of 20 shades in the Peach Kiss range.

The Peach Kiss lipsticks have a fairly strong "peaches and cream" scent and flavour that lingers after application. (Compared to the scent of the Sweet Peach collection products, the scent in the Peach Kiss lipsticks is softer and less tart — imagine peach Hi-Chew rather than Fuzzy Peaches.) Each lipstick is housed in an ivory tube with gold trim and a peach-shaped clasp. The lids are colour-coded to the lipstick shades. Each Peach Kiss lipstick contains a total of 4 grams of product and retails for $25 at Sephora (both in stores and online) as well as on Too Faced's website.

Doll Face is a light warm peachy beige nude in a velvet matte finish. This is a new and permanent shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is lighter and more peach than MAC Honeylove, more beige than MAC Myth, more muted and more brown than Urban Decay Unicorn, more matte than Urban Decay Barfly, warmer and peachier than Kat Von D Agatha, and more beige than Kat Von D Noble.
Sunday Funday is a light-medium warm peachy brown nude in a velvet matte finish. This is a new and permanent shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is lighter and more peach than MAC Velvet Teddy, slightly more pink than MAC Cherish, lighter and more muted than MAC Doe, more brown than NARS Raquel, more peach than Bite Beauty Amaretto, and lighter and more beige than Urban Decay Uptight.
Sex on the Peach is a medium neutral-warm mauve brown in a velvet matte finish. This is a new and permanent shade. It has a soft, creamy texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is cooler and more pink than MAC Velvet Teddy, lighter than MAC Whirl, cooler and more mauve than Bite Beauty Honeycomb, warmer and more brown than Urban Decay Oblivion, darker than Urban Decay Safe Word, and cooler and more brown than NARS Barbara.

A gorgeous new matte formula from Too Faced in retro chic packaging to boot. I've only bought the three shades here to start as there are only 11 out of the 20 shades available right now but it's given me a good grasp of how the formula looks, applies, and wears. They all go on smoothly and evenly, and have excellent pigmentation with one swipe giving full colour pay-off. The finish here is a velvet matte, almost veering satin. There's no noticeable sheen, but it's not the kind of flat, almost powdery matte that you expect from liquid lipsticks or classic matte lipsticks (e.g. MAC Retro Mattes). All three shades here are really comfortable to wear and feel soft on the lips. I don't find them to be additionally hydrating, but they never feel dry or drying over time. I also don't find that these wear for eight hours unless you absolutely don't eat or drink or touch your lips for the entire day, but these nudes shades wear solidly for about four to five hours before fading.

On another note, there is definitely a significant amount of fragrance in these — it's a sweet peaches and cream scent that I can smell and taste for at least an hour after applying. I don't personally mind this, but if you're used to unscented or lightly scented lip products (e.g. MAC's vanilla scent goes away less than a minute after applying it), this might be a deal breaker. The packaging is also different from anything that Too Faced has released before — these have a classy, weighty, vintage glam feel to them with the ivory case and the gold detailing — and they actually feel luxe while holding them. I also appreciate that Too Faced colour-coded the tops of the lids to the lipstick shades so that they look uniform from the side but you know which shade is which without opening every single tube. Overall, I'm loving this new formula from Too Faced, and I'm excited to look into some of the other colours when they become available.

I'm not gonna say that this is a must-have because the market is so saturated with warm, red-toned eyeshadow palettes right now, but I will say that this is really freaking cute and the formula in this palette is truly gorgeous. Each shadow is smooth, silky, and pigmented, with great colour pay-off and superior blendability. I didn't find them to be particularly dry or chalky, nor overly powdery. All the shades here have great wear time (at least eight hours before fading), and I didn't find there to be a significant amount of fall-out. In terms of packaging, this is definitely the classiest and most luxe compact that Too Faced has released — they're known for their metal tin-style cases, but this one is sleeker with its gold trim and clasp enclosure (they definitely took a page from Becca here). There is a bit of overlap with the Sweet Peach palette in terms of tone, but overall, it's different enough to merit buying — whereas Sweet Peach focuses on more muted peaches, browns, and plums, Just Peachy Mattes features brighter peaches, corals, and reddened browns. (The inclusion of brighter corals like Just Peachy and Peach Punch might even be its saving grace, because it makes this palette more unique than other warm palettes out there.) Conclusion: Think of Just Peachy Mattes as the bolder and sassier sister to Sweet Peach, and if you're a warm palette fiend, this one is well worth looking at.

A couple weeks ago, Too Faced released their much-anticipated Peaches and Cream collection, which was created exclusively for Sephora. Peaches and Cream sees the release of 11 different formulas for face, eyes, and lips, including one new and permanent powder bronzer called Sweetie Pie. It is infused with "refreshing peaches and sweet fig cream — ingredients known for their hydrating and antioxidant-rich benefits — to help keep skin moisturized, comfortable, and beautifully matte." Sweetie Pie is described as "a radiance-boosting bronzer" that "features four blendable shades that combine to define, highlight and sculpt for a radiant complexion boosting finish that's the perfect recipe for a soft and flawless look."

Like its name implies, Sweetie Pie is meant to mimic a pie, and features a lattice design in three radiant shades (Caramelized Peach, Golden Peach, and Bronzed Peach) with a golden overlay and a fourth shade (Candied Peach) in a satin coral pink. It has a light peach scent that does not linger after application. (Compared to the scent of the Sweet Peach collection products, the scent in Sweetie Pie is softer and more muted — imagine peach Hi-Chew rather than Fuzzy Peaches.) It is housed in a round mirrored compact with gold trim. The lid features a peach-to-cream ombré background with the name of the product in the middle of a peach outline in reflective gold. Each Sweetie Pie bronzer contains 13.5 grams of product and retails for $38 at Sephora (both in stores and online) as well as on Too Faced's website.

Too Faced Sweetie Pie

Sweetie Pie features four separate shades: a light beige-brown (Caramelized Peach), a medium golden tan (Golden Peach), a medium-dark bronze tan (Bronzed Peach), and a coral pink (Candied Peach). There is a gold overlay on top of the lattice shades that will fade away with use. When swirled together, the shades create a medium warm peachy tan brown with a soft sheen in a satin finish. This is a new and permanent product. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is cooler and less golden than Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Bronzer, darker than MAC Golden Bronzing Powder, lighter and more brown than MAC Bronze Bronzing Powder, more brown than MAC Warm Soul Mineralize Blush, warmer and more peachy than Hourglass Diffused Bronze Light, slightly darker and rosier than Hourglass Brilliant Nude, more muted and more shimmery than Urban Decay Sun-Kissed, and darker than Clinique Nude Pop.

This might be the cutest bronzer I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, Too Faced pretty much reigns the prestige makeup category for cute packaging, but this is freaking adorable. And thankfully, it's not just nice to look at. The powder is soft and silky with incredible pigmentation that is easy to blend out and layer up. There is a gold overspray that gives the initial few applications a more pearlized finish, but Sweetie Pie has a satin finish overall — it gives off a soft, diffused sheen but it's not shimmery. On that note, this is not a bronzer for contouring; it's a hybrid between a bronzer and a blush so that it can be used on the cheeks for a pop of colour or a sheer wash all over for adding warmth. This is actually a great option for those who don't like blush (as much as I am a blush fiend, I actually know more people who don't like wearing blush but will wear bronzer) but still want that dimension and warmth and glow to their skin. It's the gateway into blush, if you will. As the shade itself is relatively light for a bronzer, Sweetie Pie will work best on fair to medium-dark skintones for the purpose of blush/bronzer. This can work as an all-over radiance-boosting powder on medium-deep to dark skintones, but those with deep-dark skintones might see this turning ashy.

Blinded By the Light, Ray of Light, and You Light Up My Life

Blinded By the Light is a light warm beige in a pearlized finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium pigmentation and semi-sheer to semi-opaque buildable colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is warmer and more muted than Too Faced Candlelight Glow Rosy Glow, cooler and more muted than MAC Double-Gleam, more metallic than MAC Lightscapade, more metallic than Hourglass Incandescent, and more sheer and more muted than Becca Moonstone.
Ray of Light is a light-medium warm peachy gold in a soft pearlized finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium pigmentation and semi-sheer to semi-opaque buildable colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more peach than Too Faced Candlelight Glow Warm Glow, more peach and more muted than MAC Beaming Blush, more metallic than Hourglass Euphoric, more peach and more muted than Jeffree Star King Tut, and more peach than Becca Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini.
You Light Up My Life is a medium warm yellow gold in a pearlized finish. This is a permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium-high pigmentation and semi-opaque to opaque buildable colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is darker and more yellow than MAC Oh, Darling, lighter and brighter than Becca Topaz, darker and more yellow than Becca Prosecco Pop, lighter and more yellow than Jeffree Star Dark Horse, and warmer than Jeffree Star So Fucking Gold.

If you like a softer glowy sheen as opposed to flashy, high-metallic, beaming-to-the-gods shine from your highlighters, then Too Faced's Love Light highlighters are for you. All three shades have that weightless, smooth, silky texture that baked powder-liquid highlighters are known for (e.g. MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish, NARS Dual-Intensity, Laura Mercier Face Illuminator), but Too Faced's version is definitely more on the sheer side so they don't have as much metallic intensity. I wouldn't necessarily call these natural, per se, because they do still add that shimmering, illuminated finish, but they are definitely more subtle and are ideal for someone who wants a soft glow without going overboard; these are great for those who are just starting to get into highlighting, someone with more mature skin who doesn't want to emphasize skin texture, or someone who just wants a softer illuminated look overall (e.g. people that work office jobs). You can layer and blend them out easily, but if you want stronger colour pay-off, you're going to need to use a smaller, denser brush (even an eyeshadow brush) — a fluffy brush or fan brush is not gonna cut it here because they won't pick up enough pigment. That having been said, they are more versatile than you might think: you can use these wet to create a stronger metallic sheen, lightly dusted all over the face for a subtle glow, or buffed into blushes to give them an illuminating sheen. The three shades are also nicely curated, so at least one will suit every skintone (I recommend Blinded By the Light for fair to medium skintones, Ray of Light for medium to dark skintones, and You Light Up My Life for medium-dark to deep-dark skintones). But more than anything, the heart-shaped compacts with the diamond-cut powders inside are just too cute to resist.

The highlighting palette, called Sweet Peach Glow, was created to "transform the face with tones of peach to illuminate and highlight while adding a pop of a golden peach glow all over for skin-perfecting radiance." It is housed in a rectangular peach-orange ombré metal tin with an interior mirror and magnetic closure; the lid features their peach icon (which is on all of their Sweet Peach products) with their logo and "Sweet Peach Glow" written in gold script. Sweet Peach Glow Illuminator is a light-medium warm golden peach with a peachy champagne shimmer-sheen in a metallic finish. This is a new and permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium pigmentation and semi-sheer to semi-opaque buildable colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more orange and less frosted than Too Faced Papa Don't Peach, more shimmery and more pinked than Too Faced I Will Always Love You, brighter and less shimmery than MAC Style, more shimmery and more coral than MAC Peaches, brighter and more shimmery than MAC Melba, more orange and more shimmery than Becca Damselfly, and more orange than NARS Deep Throat.
Sweet Peach Glow Bronzer is a medium warm golden tan with a pearlized sheen in a satin finish. This is a new and permanent shade. It has a lightweight, silky texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has medium-high pigmentation and semi-opaque to opaque buildable colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. First and foremost, I think Too Faced should have called this a face kit rather than a highlighting palette, because there's only one highlighting shade in it, so it's actually kind of misleading. (This is a highlighting palette, as it's, you know, a palette of highlighters.) That having been said, this is a really nice face kit, with three very wearable shades that are easy to work with. All three shades have the same lightweight, baked texture as many other powder-liquid hybrid formulas (like MAC's Extra Dimension Skinfinish, NARS' Dual-Intensity Blush, Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator, etc.) so they are firm and dry to the touch, but go on very smooth and pigmented, and are easily blendable. Because of the firmer texture of this type of powder, I would use a denser brush to pick up sufficient product — a lot of people that are complaining about the colour pay-off of these shades are likely using brushes that are too fluffy or sparse. (A fan brush might work well with an ultra-buttery Becca highlighter, but it's not going to work the same with a much firmer, drier texture.) This palette is definitely geared towards light to medium skintones; those with darker complexions (say, NC42 and darker) will find the blush and bronzer disappears into their skin, and those with lighter skintones (say, NC20 and lighter) will find that the highlighter disappears into their skin. I don't fault Too Faced for that because it's near impossible to create a face palette that will flatter all skintones, but I do think that Too Faced should've come out with at least two colour waves of this palette to capture more complexions. As it is, I like the idea of this face kit and I think it's really, really cute, but now I kinda wish Too Faced came out with an actual highlighting palette. Can you imagine how stunning that would be?

The blush, called Papa Don't Peach (a play on the Madonna hit, "Papa Don't Preach") is inspired by "a dinner in Paris, [where] Too Faced Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jerrod Blandino had a culinary moment with a peach trifle dessert that featured peaches roasted on an open flame and caramelized. That rich bronzy peach colour inspired him to bring back the iconic Papa Don't Peach Blush from the Too Faced archives. He says it is the perfect natural blush with just enough warmth and a pop of luminosity that every woman can wear." It is housed in a square peach-orange ombré metallic tin with an interior mirror and magnetic closure; the lid features their smiley-faced peach cartoon icon (which is on all of their Sweet Peach products) with their logo and "Papa Don't Peach" written in gold script. Papa Don't Peach

Papa Don't Peach is a medium warm bronzed peach with a gilded pink shimmer-sheen in a frosted finish. This is a new and permanent shade. It has a soft, finely-milled, almost buttery texture, and goes on smoothly and evenly. It has high pigmentation and opaque colour pay-off. It can be layered and blended out easily. It is more bronzed than MAC Springsheen, more peach than NARS Orgasm, more muted than NARS Deep Throat, more peach than Becca Flowerchild, and slightly warmer than Tarte Glisten.

Papa Don't Peach has a really lovely texture that is soft and finely-milled and applies really smoothly and evenly. I didn't find it to be dry or powdery at all, and it blends out easily and layers up nicely. This blush has technically been released before, but from what I've seen in online swatches, the two versions are quite different, with the original one being darker, pinker, and less frosted. The packaging on this one is ultra-cute and girly, veering on kitschy, which will appeal to many and not to some, but it follows Too Faced's overall aesthetic. The peach scent is the same as the eyeshadow palette, which may be off-putting to those who don't like any fragrance in their makeup, but it is very much a fresh peach scent rather than a super-sweet, sickly, artificial kind of peach, so for me, it remains a fun olfactory addition and a nice touch to a peach-themed collection. Either way, it doesn't linger on the skin after application; you just get a nice whiff of it when you open the palette to add a sensory dimension to using it. However, if you have sensitivities to fragrance in your cosmetics, I would skip this. The colour itself is a lovely gilded peach that will flatter fair to medium-dark skintones, and it has a gold-pink pearl finish that leaves a noticeable gleam on the skin but doesn't emphasize skin texture. That having been said, there are a ton of dupes for this out there, both cheaper and more expensive, so it's very likely that you'll have something similar. I would look in your stash to see what you have first and if you find this to be worth getting — but for me, this was just way too cute to resist.

A few weeks ago, Too Faced released their highly anticipated, limited edition Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, which was originally available online first at Sephora, Ulta, and Too Faced (it is now sold out across all websites and no longer available), and released in Sephora stores on April 15. Inspired by peaches, Too Faced created a palette "with these fresh-picked shades infused with the juicy scent and antioxidant-rich essence of peach. Create endless looks with 18 shades of peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and pops of purples that will have you looking summer-fresh year-round." It is housed in a peach ombre metal case with a mirror on the inside spanning the entire lid featuring a peach graphic over a background of peaches; each palette also comes with a "Glamour Guide to get you started." The eyeshadows have a fresh peach scent, but it does not linger after application. Each Sweet Peach palette contains a total of 17.1 grams of product, and retails for $59 CAD.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Too Faced is on fire with their palette game right now. Every shade is ultra-smooth and beautifully pigmented, but super-blendable with almost no powdery kickback or fall out. Like the Chocolate Bar palettes before it, the 18 shades here come in a fantastic variety of finishes to create gorgeous, wearable, foolproof eye looks from natural to dramatic. What sets it apart from being just another warm palette is the addition of purple tones and a green shade, too, which despite not being peach or in the peach colour family, still goes with the peach inspiration behind the palette. The scent may be off-putting to those who don't like any fragrance in their makeup, but it is very much a fresh peach scent rather than the super-sweet, sickly, artificial kind of peach, so for me, it remains a fun olfactory addition and a nice touch to a peach-themed palette. Like the Chocolate Bar palettes, the scent doesn't linger after application; you just get a nice whiff of it when you open the palette to add a sensory dimension to using it. This palette is extremely sought-after right now, as it sold out in a matter of minutes from all online retailers when it launched, so if you want this palette (and trust me, the packaging is ridiculously cute, the product is extremely useable, and the value is incredible, so you will want it), you're gonna have to stalk your local Sephora locations to get your hands on it.

A couple weeks ago, Too Faced released their highly anticipated Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette, exclusively available online at Ulta and Too Faced. Inspired by the "social media sensation" Peanut Butter shade in their best-selling Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette, Too Faced "created this limited edition peanut butter palette of nine gorgeous matte and shimmer shades featuring antioxidant-rich cocoa powder with a creamy peanut butter twist!" It is housed in a light brown metal case with a mirror on the inside spanning the entire lid featuring a peanut butter and jelly toast cartoon over a peanut print background; each palette also comes with a "Glamour Guide to get you started." The eyeshadows have a peanut butter scent but do not contain any peanuts. Each Peanut Butter and Jelly palette contains a total of 11.4 grams of product, and retails for $51 CAD.

Hands down, the cutest palette I own. Too Faced is on fire this year with their releases. Every shade is just buttery smooth (no pun intended) and so incredibly pigmented that a soft touch of your brush into each shadow is all you need to get full, saturated colour pay-off. I love that the idea of peanut butter and jelly inspired such beautiful shades and unexpected combinations, too. One of my favourite eyeshadow combinations is warm gold and purple, and while it sounds scary to a lot of people, it actually creates a gorgeous contrast next to each other because yellow and purple are opposites on the colour wheel (thereby making both colours look more vibrant next to each other). The versions of the shades in this palette make the combination ultra-wearable and foolproof. There is literally nothing I don't like about this palette. Anyone who is a fan of warm shades needs this. It is just too damn adorable to resist.
