Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! Today is the first day since moving into my condo that I actually have all to myself (e.g. no plans, no errands, etc.), so I'm trying to be as productive as possible. I finally built my new bookshelves (all by myself 'cause I'm a strong independent woman), emptied out twelve containers of books and DVDs (that I ended up having to double-stack on every shelf because I didn't have enough space), brought all those empty containers to my locker storage downstairs, installed a new towel rack in my bathroom (I might have a new obsession with power drills), and did three loads of laundry. And now I'm about to vacuum and do a thorough cleaning of my floors. See how much you can accomplish when you don't have turkey dinner?

I am having a most productive day off today. Woke up early to go to get a blood test done at the lab; went to the dollar store to grab some frames for the BTS artwork I ordered a month ago (that are now on their way to me from Belgium); made toast with butter, strawberry jam, scrambled eggs, and pan-fried turkey slices for brunch (I wanted to make the French toast with jam, scrambled eggs, and bacon like Hobi did in his vacation vlog, but alas, I was too lazy to make French toast and I didn't have any bacon, so I could only make the healthier, inferior version); became a handyman for an hour and built the Ikea shelf unit that I bought yesterday (I didn't end up needing the power drill, after all); vacuumed the house; cleaned the bathroom; and did two loads of laundry. Now I have to re-organize all my BTS/BT21 merch on my new shelving unit before I actually sit down to rest, 'cause I know I won't be able to get up afterwards.

My new bed was delivered today! I went to Sleep Country Canada last Sunday to get a new mattress because I've been sleeping on my dad's old one (that is about 30-years-old) for the last decade and I've been getting chronic neck and back pain because of it. The sales rep narrowed it down for me according to my needs (firmer with good lumbar support and stays cool throughout the night) and after testing out four of them, I finally decided on this one. (He gave it to me for the sale price of this one, which was really nice of him. I was set on buying one, anyway, so he really didn't need to offer me a deal, but did it anyway. Such good customer service.) I also got a new bed base and headboard 'cause my old ones (also my dad's) are from the '80s and I thought I should get something more modern, you know, since I was getting a new mattress, anyway... and then I added some fancy new pillows as well, to help with my neck problem (he sold them to me at their Boxing Day price, so the second one was half-off). Needless to say, I am super excited to go to sleep tonight.
