Julep Maven Box

I got my first Julep Maven box last week! The Julep Maven program by Julep is a monthly nail product subscription for which the subscriber gets sent Julep's sneak peek box (that they ship to magazine beauty editors and celebrity trendsetters for review and consideration) for $19.99 a month. Each box contains full-size Julep products including their newest nail colours as well as manicure and pedicure care products, worth at least $40 in retail prices. You take their Style Quiz to determine which box they should send you. There are a few styles applicable, including "American Girl," "It Girl," and "Classic with a Twist." From the colours and styles I chose in the quiz, I was put into the "It Girl" category, which highlights bold, edgy, and bright colours. The best part about this subscription program is that they e-mail you a sneak peek of the products that will be in next month's box. From there, you have a choice whether you want to keep that selection, get a new selection, or give it as a gift, so you won't be disappointed with the products they send you.

In my "It Girl" box this month, I received a tube of their Facial For Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub, a bottle of Julep Nail Therapy, and two shades of Nail Colour in Sienna (pale metallic gold with shimmer) and Emilie (deep forest green with teal undertones, new for fall). The retail price for this box is $76, so it was really quite a steal! I'm super happy with the colour choices that came in this month's box, which are right in line with my obsession with green/teal and metallic polishes, so this box was totally worth it for me. Julep's polishes have a phenomenal formula, too: smooth, even application, very pigmented, and opaque in one coat. And the brush is just the right size, so that it's not too thick that application is sloppy, but not too thin that it requires too much precision. I would have easily paid more than $19.99 for this box, actually. If you're as addicted to nail polish as I am, definitely consider joining the Julep Mavens program!
