MAC released a new collection yesterday called Fall Colour, featuring artist Cindy Sherman in three distinct looks on the promotional displays. Fall Colour is a very large collection with the release of 48 products, and is the third collection to launch in September (along with Posh Paradise and Styledriven). There are a whopping eight shades of lipstick released with this launch, but I will only be reviewing six (the other two shades are Ruby Woo, which is permanent at all locations, and X-S, which was discontinued earlier this year and being re-promoted). Each lipstick comes in regular black packaging, contains 3 grams, and retails for $17.50. They are vanilla-scented but taste-free, and are applicable for the Back To MAC recycling program at all MAC locations.
Fleshpot, Neon Orange, Fusion Pink, Show Orchid, Violetta, and Plum Bright
Fleshpot is an opaque pale peachy nude in a Satin finish. It is permanent at MAC Pro and is being re-promoted. It is extremely similar to Myth.Neon Orange is an opaque bright medium orange in an Amplified finish. It is permanent at MAC Pro and is being re-promoted. It is similar to Morange.Fusion Pink is an opaque bright coral-red with a fuchsia sheen in an Amplified finish. It is permanent at MAC Pro and is being re-promoted. It is more red than Impassioned, and less pink than Insanely It.Show Orchid is an opaque bright fuchsia pink with a fuchsia-purple sheen in an Amplified finish. It is permanent at MAC Pro and is being re-promoted. It is like a much more opaque version of Lickable.Violetta is an opaque violet purple with red undertones and very soft shimmer in an Amplified finish. It is permanent at MAC Pro and is being re-promoted. There is nothing similar in the permanent line-up; it is darker and much more purple than Up The Amp.Plum Bright is a semi-opaque deep plum purple with red undertones in a Lustre finish. This is the only new and limited edition shade of lipstick from Fall Colour. It is much more purple than Desire.
Most of the lipstick shades from this collection are permanent at MAC Pro and are being re-promoted. This is an excellent opportunity for those who live far away from a MAC Pro store or don't have access to one in their city to pick up some of their exclusive lipstick shades. (The only Pro store in Toronto is on Queen Street.) A lot of these shades are absolute must-haves for those who love bright lips! Bright's not your thing? Fleshpot is available for those who like nudes, Ruby Woo (not pictured) is available for those who like reds, and Plum Bright and X-S (not pictured) are available for those who like darks. There is something for everyone, but brights definitely take the show with this collection.
