I had been trying to hunt down Ozotic nail polishes for a couple months before I finally found a site that would ship to Canada, called Harlow & Co. (it's a Canadian-based site, too, so it's free shipping for orders over $50!). Ozotic is an small independent Australian nail polish company, and their nail polishes are all "hand made and bottled in small batches by polish craftsmen." They are known for their unique multi-chrome and holographic nail polish shades. I picked up three, and decided to try 507 first. At first, it looks like a chartreuse green with darker olive green edges. As you move your fingers, it flashes yellow gold, antique gold, orange gold, spring green, olive green, cerulean-green, and cerulean blue. Oh, yes. It shifts a lot, and always with two to three colours visible. Simply put, it's a ridiculously cool colour effect.

The formula isn't fantastic; it goes on slightly streaky and unevenly, and because it's on the sheer side, you need about three medium-thick coats to get it opaque. The brush strokes are visible because of the nature of the finish, and it looks very much like brushed chrome. Regardless, I think the unique colour effect of this polish make it really worth working with. I thought it would be good dupe for Chanel Péridot, and it does look similar in some ways, but 507 is infinitely more multi-faceted and vibrant. If you're into these cool multi-chrome effects, Ozotic is aces.

  1. Denise! How often do you change your nails? I'm jealous because I'm so bad with mine.. only changing it when they start chipping ridicously!

  2. Hey, Irene! :) Lol, I usually change my nail colour every three to four days 'cause I get bored easily and I always want to try new colours (seriously, I have like, 30 polishes I haven't even worn yet!)... The longest I've ever worn one colour was a week 'cause I was super busy and never at home long enough to do my nails. :P

  4. Haha, Sydney, you won't regret it! :D

If you think this shade's amazing, wait 'till I review the other two shades! Ozotic makes some gorgeous polishes, for sure. You should also check out Models Own -- it's inexpensive, with a great formula and awesome fun shades, and it's available on Harlow & Co.! :)

  5. It's like a neon version of Peridot!

Checking out Harlow & Co. now. Hopefully this visit won't result in a round of more blame game. lol

  6. I thought it looked a lot like Peridot, too, but this one is definitely more colourful -- it flashes like, 7 different colours! Peridot has a MUCH better formula, though. If only Chanel came out with more colours like these -- I'd be lemming even more!

Ermmmm, yeah, I totally ordered ten nail polishes from Harlow & Co. -- you need to check out Models Own nail polish. They are FANTASTIC.
