My friend Chelsea invited me over for a late lunch today and prepared a most beautiful spread for us. The star of the show was, of course, the giant wheel of brie cheese, which was baked in the oven until perfectly warm and gooey. She paired it with slices of toasted baguette, salami, green apples, and grapes, and then, because she's fancy, she prepared a bunch of different spreads (red pepper jelly, fig spread, homemade tomato jam, and cream cheese) with pickles and olives in little bowls to make different flavour combos. This is really something I've only ever done at restaurants, so it was really fun to do this at her home. What a great way to spend a Tuesday, no?
