MAC, Naturally: Lipsticks

MAC released a new collection yesterday, called MAC, Naturally. It features 23 products in total, 18 of which are limited edition. There are four limited edition shades of lipstick featured in this collection, three of which are new, and one of which is a re-promote. MAC's lipsticks are vanilla-scented, but taste-free. Depending on the finish, I get anywhere from three to six hours of wear. Each lipstick comes in regular black packaging, contains 3 grams of product, and retails for $17.50. These shades are applicable for the Back To MAC recycling program at all MAC locations.

Sweet Sunrise, A Perfect Day, Pillow Talk, and Beach Sand

Sweet Sunrise is a pale peachy nude in a Lustre finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It goes on smoothly and evenly, and has medium pigmentation with semi-opaque colour pay-off. It is warmer than Hue, and more pink and less opaque than Fleshpot.

A Perfect Day is a light-medium pinky beige nude in an Amplified finish. This is a new and limited edition shade. It goes on smoothly and evenly, and has high pigmentation with opaque colour pay-off. It is less peach than Shy Girl, and more pink and less brown than Peachstock.

Pillow Talk is a medium beige brown with subtle hints of rose in a Cremesheen finish. This is a re-promoted shade from last summer's Cine-matics collection (a part of the Overnight Sensation lip set), and is limited edition. It goes on smoothly and evenly, and has high pigmentation with opaque colour pay-off. It is darker and more brown than Hug Me, and darker than and less pink than Viva Glam II.

Beach Sand is a pale beige tan in a Cremesheen finish. It goes on smoothly and evenly, and has high pigmentation with opaque colour pay-off. It is much more beige and less peach than Viva Glam Gaga 2, and lighter and more opaque than Fresh Brew.

Overall, I was very pleased with all four lipsticks. All of them look and felt great on the lips, and I didn't find them drying at all. My personal favourite is A Perfect Day, which might be my new favourite nude lipstick. I like that they came out with four nude lipsticks for all different skintones and undertones. If you're looking for a nude lipstick, I would definitely consider one of these shades — the texture, pigmentation, and colour pay-off on all four are really lovely (even the Lustre!).

  3. Liz, if you can still find A Perfect Day, GRAB IT IMMEDIATELY. It's sold out almost everywhere, and it's such a gorgeous nude!

Also, HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE A NUDE LIPSTICK AND BE ON A LIPPIE BAN?
